How to begin your home bar fitout journey?
This home bar fitout started with an empty shell. The client contacted us expressing an interest in converting an exercise / storage room into a home bar.
Armed with approximate measurements of the room, the client’s first action was to schedule an appointment to arrange a visit to our warehouse / showroom and meet Mick, our master fitter. Having viewed the range of complete bars on display and other options available, the customer expressed an interest in a particular bar.
We then arranged a site visit to the client’s home where we finalised the layout and got exact measurements. This job involved a 14ft back bar and bar counter (all had to be customised for ceiling height and slope on the floor).
What happens next?
It was now time to start the fine tuning process and agree on equipment and accessories including :
- Sink
- Triple line cooler
- Taps
- Glass washer
- Bottle coolers
- Ice machine
- Optics & optic holders
- Ice bucket & tongs
- Glass mats & glasses
- Beer mats & drinks measures
- Straws & stirrers
- Last but not least – the kegs and gas!
We then agreed on the furnishings and furniture including :
- Bar stools
- Benches
- High tables
- Low tables
- Armchairs
The client then met Aidan, our in-house upholsterer and agreed on their choice of fabrics and colours. Aidan upholstered all the seating as well as making the curtains.
The final piece of the jigsaw involved the client making another trip to our warehouse showroom when the bar and furniture was fitted to pick out some memorabilia, mirrors and signs to add the finishing touches.
